Subject: Apache Reverse Proxy Not Talking to Domino
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: -Reproducibility-

Good morning,

We have an application that uses smartcards for authentication to our Domino server. We have an Apache 2.2 reverse proxy in front of our Domino server to pass that certificate information to Domino. When the users go through the proxy and their information is passed to the Domino server, the user is not authentication and recognized as "Anonymous". When the users go directly to the Domino server, they are authenticated. At some point between the proxy and the Domino server, their certificate information is either not passed or the wrong information is passed.

I have read throughout the forums simular issues, but no solution. Is there a setting on either the Apache config file or the Domino config document that I'm missing or is there a way to capture the information passed from Apache to see what is sent to Domino?

Thanks

Ed
